Powered by the STM32N6 MCU and ST’s Neural-ART NPU, the NE301 delivers up to 0.6 TOPS of on-device inference performance. It supports real-time execution of lightweight detection models such as YOLOv8, enabling person detection, gesture recognition, and other AI tasks without relying on cloud connectivity — minimizing latency, bandwidth use, and privacy risks.
Ultra-Low Power Consumption
Equipped with the STM32U073Kx power management chip, the NE301 supports deep sleep at just 7–8 μA and full-speed operation at 170–180 mA, with millisecond-level wake-up times. Whether powered via battery or PoE, the camera is ideal for long-term deployments in unattended or power-constrained environments.
Modular Hardware Architecture
The camera features a fully modular design, with interchangeable camera sensors (MIPI or USB), communication modules (Wi‑Fi 6 / LTE Cat‑1), power sources (USB‑C, 4×AA battery, or PoE), and housing parts. Its standardized board-to-board connectors allow developers to quickly prototype, customize, and scale into production.

“CamThink founder Ming was an early adopter of Ultralytics YOLOv8. He trained high-quality YOLO models easily — but deploying them on edge devices was another story.
He realized that for users without embedded or Linux development experience, deploying YOLO models on hardware was unnecessarily hard. That’s why we built NeoEyes NE301 around the STM32N6 — a low-power AI camera with a built-in YOLOv8 inference engine and graphical Web UI.
Within the next couple of weeks, we will open-source the full firmware stack. Our goal is to help AI model developers deploy YOLOv8 without any embedded knowledge, directly from their browser. In the future, NE301 will also support more YOLO variants and custom vision models.
