The SC200AI USB camera module adds 1920 x 1080 UVC imaging to the NeoEyes NE101 platform. Choose 51°, 88°, or 137° horizontal field of view with a matched 4 m, 3 m, or 2 m fixed-focus distance. It connects to the NE101 ESP32-S3 Development Board through the dedicated USB camera port.

Important Compatibility Notice

This camera module is sold for the NeoEyes NE101 platform and its NE100-MB01 development board. Connect it only to the dedicated USB camera port using the matching cable. It does not use the 24-pin FPC connector intended for the OV5640 module.

The NE101’s ESP32-S3 USB host operates at USB 1.1 speed. Enable UVC support in the NE101 source project before testing the video stream.

The USB data lines share GPIO19 and GPIO20 with pins 13 and 15 on the 16-pin expansion header. Do not assign those pins to another function while the USB camera is active. Review the NE101 hardware connection and I/O conflict table before combining this camera with GPIO expansion or a Wi-Fi HaLow module.

Product Overview

This module is the 1080p USB camera option for the NeoEyes NE101 Modular Sensing Camera. It uses a SmartSens SC200AI sensor, a UVC-compliant USB interface, and an M12 lens mount. Three lens configurations cover standard, wide, and ultra-wide views without changing the NE101 mainboard.

Choose the lens by working distance and scene width. The 51° version gives the tightest view and is preset for subjects around 4 m away. The 88° version balances coverage and detail at a 3 m focus distance. The 137° version covers the widest scene and is preset for a 2 m working distance. These are fixed-focus sales options, so select the required view and distance before ordering.

The module connects to the NE100-MB01 USB camera port. CamThink provides a source-code workflow for live video verification through the device web interface. 1080p SC200AI imaging

The SC200AI sensor supports a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 and uses a 1/2.8-inch optical format. Actual frame rate, stream settings, and image quality depend on the NE101 firmware, selected lens, lighting, and USB host limits.

Three deployment-oriented views

The 51°, 88°, and 137° HFOV options let you match scene width to mounting distance. A tighter view preserves more subject detail in the frame, while a wider view reduces blind areas at shorter distances.

UVC workflow for NE101

CamThink documents a source-code workflow for the NE100-MB01. After connecting the module, enabling UVC support, and flashing the firmware, you can verify the stream through the NE101 web management interface.

M12 lens format

The module uses an M12 lens mount with 2.5 mm, 3 mm, and 6 mm lens options documented by CamThink. The store variants are sold with preset field-of-view and focus configurations.

Direct NE101 connection

The module connects to the NE100-MB01’s four-wire USB camera interface for power, ground, D-, and D+. The board connector supplies up to 500 mA. Use the matching cable and confirm connector orientation before applying power.

Q: Can I use all 16-pin expansion I/O with the USB camera?

Q: Is the bare module weatherproof?
