Interface & Data Output
The DTS6012M supports both streaming mode and request-response mode. In streaming mode, the module outputs data automatically according to the configured frame rate. In request-response mode, the host system sends a command and receives the measurement result.
Distance output uses 2 bytes and is reported in millimeters. The module also supports reflectivity correction and temperature compensation to improve measurement stability across different target materials and operating conditions.
Installation Notes
When adding a protective cover, use a material with high transmittance at 905nm. A cover material with >95% transmittance and <5% haze is recommended.
To reduce internal optical crosstalk, keep a 0.1mm to 0.2mm gap between the cover and the front surface of the module.
The module is designed to operate within Class 1 laser safety limits under reasonable expected operating conditions.
