NE300-MB01 is the STM32N6 mainboard behind the NeoEyes NE301 platform. It is intended for low-power vision AI development, firmware testing, sensor integration, and custom camera designs. Product Overview
NE300-MB01 is the main development board used in the NeoEyes NE301 camera platform. It gives developers direct access to the STM32N6 processor, low-power controller, camera interfaces, storage, wireless hardware, and expansion headers. It is suitable for evaluating vision models, testing wake-triggered image capture, connecting external sensors, and developing a custom enclosure or application-specific camera.
This is a board-level product, not an assembled camera. The online SKU contains the NE300-MB01 mainboard ONLY. Camera modules, lenses, enclosure parts, power accessories, and expansion boards are not included. Projects that need a complete enclosed device can use the NeoEyes NE301 Wireless Edge AI Camera instead. If your project needs wired Ethernet and continuous PoE power, use the separate NE301 PoE camera.
NE300-MB01 supports the OS04C10 CSI-2 camera path used by the complete NE301 camera, plus USB camera paths for development. The same CPI OS04C10 camera module used in the complete NE301 is not currently listed as a standalone online SKU. Key Features
STM32N6 On-device Vision AI
NE300-MB01 is built around the STM32N657L0H3 with an Arm Cortex-M55 core and ST Neural-ART accelerator. The NPU provides up to 600 GOPS / 0.6 TOPS for lightweight object detection, classification, and other embedded vision workloads without relying on a remote inference server.
Low-Power Control and Event-triggering
The board uses an STM32U073KBU6 low-power controller to manage wake-up and power operations independently of the main AI processor. This architecture supports scheduled capture and sensor-triggered workflows using PIR, alarm input, GPIO, or other connected sensors.
For custom presence-triggered prototypes, the 24GHz radar presence sensor provides a digital detection output and UART interface. It requires project-specific wiring and firmware integration and is not included as a plug-and-play part of the NE300-MB01 SKU.
Camera Interface Flexibility
The board supports the OS04C10 CSI-2 camera module used by the complete NE301 camera, as well as USB UVC camera development paths. No camera module is supplied with this SKU.
The OS04C10 module is not currently available for direct online purchase. Contact sales@camthink.ai to discuss availability. When a compatible NE301 camera module is used, separate M12 lens options are available for different viewing angles and working distances.
Open Firmware and Board Access
NE301 firmware, Web UI code, and sample projects are available through the NE301 GitHub repository. The Web UI provides camera preview, hardware controls, model management, inference settings, storage management, and system configuration.
The board uses USB-C for power and data during development. This SKU does not include a USB cable or power adapter. The 1.2m USB-A to USB-C cable is suitable for a standard USB 2.0 connection.
The board ships with standard firmware installed, so an ST-LINK programmer is not required for initial setup. Use the ST-Link V2 programmer for NE301 when you need to flash, recover, or debug the STM32 firmware.
Sensor and Communication Expansion
The board exposes I2C, SPI, UART, RS485, SAI, GPIO, and Alarm/PIR interfaces for external sensors and peripherals. For multi-sensor evaluation, the NE301 Multi-Sensor Expansion Development Kit adds the reference sensor board, supported sensors, displays, audio parts, and connection cables used by the open demo software.
Wi-Fi 6 hardware is integrated. For projects without reliable Wi-Fi coverage, the board also supports the optional LTE Cat.1 Communication Board for NeoEyes. Select the correct regional version and provide an activated SIM card and carrier APN settings.
