    Overview

This ST-LINK V2-compatible programmer and debugger connects a host computer to supported STM32 and STM8 microcontrollers. It supports SWD for STM32 targets and SWIM for STM8 targets, making it suitable for firmware flashing, source-level debugging, board bring-up, device recovery, and maintenance work.

The package includes four Dupont leads for general target connections and a dedicated cable for the NeoEyes NE301 camera main board. The NE301 cable can be used when servicing the wireless camera and the NeoEyes NE301 PoE Edge AI Camera. Other development boards and custom hardware can use the standard leads after the target interface, pinout, and operating voltage have been verified.

For direct access to the NE301 STM32N6 platform, pair the debugger with the NE301 STM32N6 Vision Development Board.

Production NE301 ship with standard firmware. Routine firmware package updates and model or configuration imports are handled through the Web UI as described in the NE301 Quick Start guide. Developers use this debugger when they need direct SWD access for MCU flashing, recovery, or hardware-level debugging.

    Key features

    SWD support for STM32

Program and debug supported STM32 microcontrollers through the SWD interface. Target support depends on the MCU, probe firmware, pinout, operating voltage, and installed development software.

    SWIM support for STM8

Connect compatible STM8 targets through the SWIM interface for programming and debugging. Confirm support for the specific STM8 device and software version before ordering.

    Direct NE301 firmware access

The dedicated cable connects the debugger to the NE301 camera main board for direct SWD work. Select the correct board header and connection method for the STM32N6 or STM32U0 before flashing or debugging.

Clear bench status and connection options

Blue and red LEDs show power, connection, and communication activity. The enclosure has marked pin labels, selectable 3.3 V and 5 V outputs, and a self-resetting 500 mA fuse on the USB power path.

    Common embedded development tools

The debugger can be used with STM32CubeProgrammer, ST-LINK Utility, Keil MDK, IAR Embedded Workbench, STVD, and STVP when the selected target and installed software version support the required workflow.

    Installation Notes

Power off the target before wiring or changing the programming connection. For NE301, identify whether the firmware target is the STM32N6 or STM32U0, connect the correct header, and power the main board separately through USB Type-C as instructed in the NE301 system flashing and initialization guide. Return the board to its normal boot configuration after flashing.

    Software support

Target family Interface Compatible tool examples
Supported STM32 devices SWD STM32CubeProgrammer, ST-LINK Utility, Keil MDK, IAR Embedded Workbench
Supported STM8 devices SWIM STVD, STVP, IAR Embedded Workbench

Software compatibility depends on the target MCU and installed tool version.
